as per request (or demand =D) you know who you are.
basically life is uber mundane. open eyes, laptop, lunch, tv, laptop, dinner, laptop, sleep.
its drying my eyes out -.-
at least i've made my new model airplane, a Mitsubishi Zero-Sen A6M5c, complete with drop-tanks and rockets =)) very cool. now stands proudly alongside my Messerschmitt Bf-109E and Supermarine Spitfire Mk.Va. all that remains is my Vought F4U-1 Corsair (check wikipedia if you wanna know what the items in red are. heee)
see. now you know what my hobby-for-dry-eyes time is...
just yesterday i went to sakae (again) with tb, larry, alvin and weizhen. and i ate lunch (again). went to the arcade later. played initial-D. liked it, so played it (again) and (again)...
well thats my yesterday. don't complain.

ADVICE FOR SYF AUDITIONING (copy and paste if you wish)
Especially for those new to this sort of thing, heres some personal advice:
- DO NOT PANIC: yes, it sounds cliched and obvious, but then again, with about a hundred pairs of yes staring at you and your group, it becomes all too easy to get jelly-knees. And that fear can arouse the suspicion that you aren't prepared.
- PREPARE: while the other groups sing prior to your turn, listen intently and make sure any mistake that may be made will not be repeated by you. Look at your scores and look out for error-prone parts. Once your turn comes, the practice you've done weeks prior, as well as pre-auditing prep will come in handy.
- LOOK at the conductor and only the conductor while you sing: no referrals to scores or looking around--this will help you allay the 1st issue of panic.
- DON'T FOLLOW the other people in your group, especially if you realise their beating, tune, key etc. is wrong. Follow what you know is right--listen to yourself.
- CONTINUE even if you've made a mistake earlier: stopping implies that you lack confidence in your own ability and preparedness, and will also lead to the issue of panic.
- BE SERIOUS and take it as though you are performing; nothing is worse than fooling about the audition, as it determines whether you make the team, and will NOT be taken lightly.
This is based on my personal experience, and the fact that my brother is also to take part in this audition. Feel free to clarify with me any of the above issues.
