so long, farewell

the day is over.

we're officially alumnus. wow.
looking back, i'll seriously miss these 4 yrs. gone like e wind.
it was the most beautiful gesture for a farewell. period.

yes, maybe it was only held at sch, and nt some place like PRP (pasir ris park), bt in the end it boils down to the persons. how they managed to pull it off. and the result was splendid. so meticulously prepared. and nw e separation is pretty emotional(ahah).

the prez was a rather last min affair. met with tb thn han thn bryan. went to sch with gifts wrapped (thankfully). were in time for e 1st game, some ping-pong game. like static CS. or gunbound. man i just realised how poor my aiming was. haiz.

ok. time to move on. no point crying over spilt milk.

next game didn't involve us. no getting wet for us. its called dog n bone. ur number is called, run to a baseball bat, circle it 10 times, thn return and collect the 'bone' in a soap-water filled mat. there were some messy slips. as expected. we seniors simply sat down and watched it unfold. hahas.

nxt they let us play captain's ball. close match this one. i tore tb's slipper in e process. let's call it a tie, shall we?

very soon the entire choir was playing that game. we tried to differentiate who's who, but let's just say it got pretty knotted up. in e end we simply threw e ball around. no difference as to who won. or lost, for that matter. and of course, no one is ever collision-prone.

while leaving for e avt, jerrold and bryan challenged each other to a twister match. its rather suggestive details shall only be known to those watching.

thn left for avt. got our cca plaques and the usual. but surprise, surprise! mr toh came for e 1st time ever to a farewell. he made a simple, well-meaning speech. and surprise, surprise! on impulse, he broke into song. not that i have not heard him sing before, but it was especially special, as it was specially for the choir on that day. ever strong and unwavering. may his dedication last long into dmnchoir's fulfilling future.

then came the performance segment. the sec 1s did a good job playing the roles in 'deal or no deal'. the special contestant? none other thn bryan! ok so a headless barbie doll is so not monetary, but least he can sell it on ebay(oops).

both sec 2s and 3s also deserve credit for their dance segments. energy well spent. and it also reminds us of our dance for our seniors in 2006. this is one experience well thought of.

thn came all the miscellaneous. with pizzas by tonnage and a mountain of secret receipe chicken, who could still be hungry?

bryan was desperate for e bottles of sparkling grape juice i bought, but that priviledge went to aunn ning and wen xin (sorry bryan. but will get 1 for e new yr party ya? LOL)

i appreciate the presents. goes to show we will certainly be missed. thx to the sec 1s for e mug, sec 3s for the memorabilia-of-sorts picture frame-d, sec 2s for the engraved plate and the cookies, bass 4 e guitar pick (e 'sotong' insignia. how interesting...), and someone from whom i received a 'pretty princess' magnetic photoframe.

we thn played basketball with mr toh. he claims he hasn't played hoop for 2 decades, but after his team thrashed ours, i'm not really sure! (neither were e rest perhaps?)

after the last goodbyes, the sec 4s and some sec 3s came along to interchange mac to eat (somemore??!!) and chatted for like forever. we left at 0015, and eventually reached home whlist chatting with tb. thus ends my day, a day perhaps without pictures, but a day recorded in blogs and treasured in countless hearts.

adieu, dmnchoir, without which i wouldn't write such a lengthy post here and now in high esteem. thank you.
that's all for nw.
cheerio!~

a cold cold xmas

hey all.

bitterly cold winter. wind blowing like its caught a cold.
now i've caught a chill...~

heng tday i'm having my off-day. else will work all through xmas. played on my xbox e whole day. that's 9 hrs of ceaseless game play, you hear? its crazy. spamming halo half e time.
wanted to invite pple to come over and play, so i did.

tb, shirong(who still hasn't got a job) larry and his younger bro (who btw is going to chung cheng high. wth.) came over to have some fun. halo rocked--as usual i was e victim. 3 v 1. now THAT is fun.

thn played medal of honor. its like halo, only less technically advanced. didn't really rock. again i was e victim. always murdered. LOL.

thn came doom 3. creepy game, with its floating skulls that shot at you, and ripped corpses throwing blasts of energy. throw in the darkness and some distorted music and viola! one hell of a scary tour. don't even bother fighting the boss at the end. he's invincible.

they stayed till 7, thn left together. had a wonderful meal of 'san ba'(NOT bastard. its village in chinese) chicken and broccoli, topped with lotus soup. my mum hardly cooks, so this is a rare treat. just ysd went to DOME aft work with my family. the lamb shanks were wonderful. so was the cheesecake. so yeah.

back to work again tmr. the crowd shd thin. hopefully.
its e 25 of the mth once more so MERRY XMAS. may 2009 be less politically, financially, and environmentally depressing thn 2008. i have had enough of all that. nw just wanna be remembered whn farewell arrives~

so long.
~have a very very merry merry christmas this year!~

------------------------------------
Europe

we're leaving together
but still it's farewell
and maybe we'll come back
to Earth
who can tell?
i guess there is no one to blame
we're leaving ground (leaving ground)
will things ever be the same again?

chorus:
its the final countdown
the final countdown
ohhh~

we're headed for Venus
but still we stand tall
cos maybe they've seen us
and welcomed us all
yeah
with so many light turns to go
and things to be found (to be found)
i'm so glad we all miss her so

chorus:
its the final countdown
the final countdown
the final countdown (the final countdown)
ohh...
----------------------------continues-------------------------

work--3 days

ok heres work summed up in three basic paragraphs over three days.

DAY I
---------
woke up early. got there early too. too early. store opened at 1030hrs. slogged till lunchtime, thn had lunch at burger king (damn ex), thn worked somemore till 1830hrs. went home and yeah, normal stuff.
made friends with a few pple. to survive, you need support.

DAY II
---------
got to work early again. met ronnie the store manager. nice guy really. and yep, the usual, only more hectic. lunch at far east plaza--no more ex food for me. soon back to work. more chores, more stock checking. and yes, more sales. went home with sore ankles :(

DAY III
---------
worked early (again). surprisingly (or maybe not really) not too many sales like on saturday. lunch this time consisted of home-cooked porridge. nutritious and tasty. slow afternoon, thn made a few successful transactions before leaving. had bbq later on. what a way to end my shift.

so yeah here i am now blogging. today (1 dec) no work, so gonna play like crazy...
its late now. will blog soon.

another day over;
another shift done.
i hope for a better holiday,
